NPEA, in collaboration with IIN, organised a working session on fund governance and management practices for general partners, bringing together 25 investment professionals from Nepal’s private equity and venture capital industry. Led by Ms. Ananya Sonthalia, Partner at Trilegal India, the session drew on lessons from the India’s alternative investment industry since the introduction of the AIF regulations.
The session also explored the evolution of the industry, key drivers of fundraising, and emerging governance & valuation standards shaping fund management in India today. The session also covered international practices for LP-GP alignment, portfolio valuation, and fund governance, while reflecting on their relevance for Nepal’s growing PEVC industry.
